FAQ
How Long Will You Be There?

A weekend here and there, I will certainly let you know when the station will be in your area.

Is There a Cost?

If I have approached you for collaboration, there is no cost as I will be providing photography and content for your commercial or personal use in exchange for my time there.

If you just want me there to conduct my educational experiences for your audiences/guests, you will book through my website at $400 per 24 hr period.

What Does the Field Station Look Like?

A custom camper trailer with a few amenities setup like privacy tents for a bathroom and kitchen setup. It’s a little more extensive than a personal camp. There will eventually be a separate tent to act as a studio/workshop area.

What Are Your Educational Experiences?

Right now the field station is focused on botany and marine life. It is hosting plant and mushroom identification excursions and eventually diving to plant synthetically propagated corals to restore and rebuild coral reefs.

Why Your Location?

Considering the field station is a mobile operation it needs space to function. Your property was likely targeted and contacted for collaboration due to the area and region it is in.

It may be lush in providing a lot of opportunity for plant identification, or located near a resource like the ocean.

Additionally, private properties are easier to operate in as there are less regulations than a National or State Forest or Seashore location.

Success Stories

I enjoyed getting to know a new artist and learning about your Electrography project. Collaborating two completely different skills and talents is such a fun experience. Not only did I learn a lot from you but I also gained a lot of inspiration from this project!

Meghan Widger

Owner of Hills & Thread

Kristi’s workshop was meticulously prepared. She provided all the materials and equipment needed for the each member of the group to produce several pieces related to their own research. We all enjoyed the fascinating experience she led.

At the Cambridge Science Festival, we aim to create a shared cultural festival from the Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math experiences in our lives.  Kristi Beisecker was a wonderful addition to our art and technology workshops in the 2014 science festival, engaging a diverse audience with her electrography work.  Particularly the use of organic materials, plants and fauna, was effective and beautiful.
